How is it December already? I can’t even! This time of year we can get caught up in doing things for everyone, else but it’s also still important to prioritize yourself. Give yourself time to create and do the things that are meaningful and energizing for your well being.
I have a new set of journaling prompts this month to help you reflect back on your creative journey this year as well as start making plans for 2024.
Remember that journaling is a personal practice, so feel free to adapt these prompts to suit your specific needs and goals as a creative entrepreneur.
December Journaling Prompts For Creative Entrepreneurs
1 – Creative Joy: Reflect on the creative highlights of the past year. What projects or moments brought you the most joy, and how can you carry that inspiration into the new year?
2 – Creative Goals: December is a month of transitions. How do you want your creative journey to evolve in the coming year? Set three creative goals and outline actionable steps to achieve them.
3 – Creative Resources: Create a list of your favorite creative resources, whether they’re books, podcasts, or online communities. How can you incorporate these into your routine to nurture your creativity?
4 – Creative Mood: Consider the relationship between your creativity and the changing seasons. How does winter impact your creative mood?
5 – Seasonal Inspirations: Take a winter walk or spend time in a winter setting. What elements of the season inspire you creatively? How can you incorporate these inspirations into your current or future projects?
6 – Creative Vulnerability: Write about a moment when you felt vulnerable in sharing your creative work. What did you learn from that experience, and how can you use vulnerability as a source of artistic strength?
7 – Creative Evolution: Reflect on how your creative style has evolved over the years. Identify one aspect you would like to further develop or refine in the coming months.
8 – Creative Exploration: It’s always fun to experiment! Choose a medium or technique outside your comfort zone and experiment with it. What did you discover about your creative process through this exploration?
9 – Creative Community: Reflect on the importance of community in your creative journey. How can you connect with or contribute to a creative community, either locally or online?
10 – Balancing Act: Explore strategies for maintaining a balance between holiday commitments and your creative practice. How can you ensure both aspects of your life thrive during this busy time?
BONUS!! Here’s an extra one for you this month…
Future Self: Write a letter to your future creative self, expressing your hopes, dreams, and intentions for your artistic journey in the coming year. What advice would you give yourself to stay motivated and inspired?
Let me know what comes up for you!
