Do you ever actually wind down over the weekend? When you work from a home office most days, it’s sometimes hard to differentiate between weekday and weekend. Other than not having to make school lunches!
I try to get up early while my girls are still sleeping to read, journal and get some work done. If I’m doing work that doesn’t need my undivided attention (like editing photographs), I like to listen to something inspirational in the background.
This week I’ve been listening to 30 Days of Genius at CreativeLive
I can’t say enough good things about CreativeLive. I just love them! They have tons of free online workshops in all areas of creativity and business. I’ve watched them grow from just being about photography to branching out into so many different areas. The great thing is you can watch for free while it’s live and then decide if you want to purchase the program to watch over and over again at your leisure. I think I own about 7 programs so far.
The 30 Days of Genius started on Monday and goes through until May 31. Each day photographer and entrepreneur Chase Jarvis – (he’s so cool – I met him at a B&H Photo party one year) will be interviewing a “creative genius”.
I’m a little behind but so far I watched Mark Cuban (from Shark Tank) and I’m in the middle of Seth Godin’s interview They’ve been great so far and I’m so excited for the rest!
If you also want to be inspired, head over to the CreativeLive website and sign up to receive the daily emails with links to the interviews.
It’s also Mother’s Day weekend! How will you be celebrating? We’ll be going out to lunch both days. I love going to restaurants so I’m really looking forward to it. We’ll be trying a new place (for us)- Bar Taco. I’ll let you know how it is.
Tell me about your weekend plans.
