As soon as the door closed behind them I could feel the shift in energy. I felt calm and relaxed and headed straight to my journal for what ended up being a marathon session!
My husband and daughter would be out for 9 hours! That’s 9 HOURS of alone time ahead of me to do whatever I wanted! As a creative and a mom, this is a true gift. It’s something I’ve been carving out for myself for years now. I no longer feel guilty but instead know it’s a necessity for the well being of not only me, but my whole family. I truly believe EVERYONE could benefit from it. Especially creatives and moms!
The Lowdown On Alone Time
Alone-time is a time to recharge, to reconnect with ourselves, and to replenish our creative wells. If you live with others or are around people a lot of the time, it’s natural to take on others’ energies. That’s not always a good thing! One of the benefits to alone-time is for an energy reset.

Juggling the responsibilities of parenthood alongside pursuing creative passions can feel like a tightrope walk at times.
