I really love the hippie, groovy feel of the 70’s so was thinking of how I can incorporate that vibe into my drawings.
I started doing patterned letters but drawing them in a way that looked 70’s inspired with wide bottoms as well as using color palettes from that era. I did some research by looking at fonts, ads from the 70’s and patterns from that time.
The letters I started with are the initials from my family (including pets!)



My favorite is the R. It’s the grooviest!

Ended up doing 3 versions for D. Fun to experiment!

I continue to draw patterns because it allows me to slow down and focus. I find I come up with lots of new biz ideas! Great side effect!! 🙂
